Live Events & Social Gatherings

Persistence and Safety

Current FAA Regulations strictly prohibit the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)“…over any persons not directly participating in the operation…;” this means drones and other UAVs are prohibited from flying over live events involving concentrations of people(audience, attendance, crowd, etc.).

Due to specific design and safety features, the Smart Balloon does not fall under Part 107 Regulations and therefore can be legally flown over attendants, guests or spectators for aerial photography, videography or surveillance during live events and social private or public gatherings.

Persistence refers to the capacity of the UAS/UAV to stay aloft (in flight) for a certain period of time. The persistence of a drone is minutes and for other UAS/UAVs in the market a couple of hours. Our system can stay aloft for long hours ,allowing for safe, consecutive and uninterrupted aerial photo and video collection.
